Hal Pendergrass
Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice since 1980.
I have been married since 1972 and have four grown children and 9 grandchildren so far. About half of my practice is with marital and family problems; the remainder mostly with individual adults. I have a good working relationship with a number of local pastors and happily cooperate in coordinating care of their parishioners with the consent of my clients. I also do clinical psychological evaluations for a variety of personal, vocational, and court-related needs.
I have extensive training and experience working with severe personality disorders, addictions, and codependency. My graduate degrees are from Covenant Theological Seminary (Biblical Studies) and Southern Illinois University (Clinical Psychology). A number of insurance companies will cover most or part of my fees. I also work with a limited number of clients who need a sliding scale.
Karen Hathaway-LaBoube
Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004.
I am originally from California where I taught at a private elementary school for 13 years. In 1999 I graduated with a Master’s Degree in counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Since then I have worked with a diverse group of adults and children in private practice. In particular, I have worked extensively with addiction and codependency issues, behavioral problems in children, victims of sexual abuse and a variety of other issues as they affect women and girls.
I also practice in Alton, Illinois at River’s Edge Christian Counseling. I am an in-network provider for several insurance companies. My husband and I love our home and church community, and enjoy helping with our granddaughter and an aging mother.
